This blog is devoted to minimizing carbon footprint when landscaping and maintaining public park spaces and home gardens in the climate crisis world.
This blog was started as my contribution to the PARKLIFE project EVA - a public programme activity included in the Phase I of the 39th EVA International Biennial of Contemporary Art. A number of L.S.A.D. students were selected for this collaborative project to take place in Limerick City Gallery of Art, located on the grounds of the People's Park.
Students were split into three thematic teams: Soil, Shelter, and Play. This blog is my contribution to the Soil team component.
Digging is killing the atmosphere and soil life. This is why nature doesn't dig with spades - it “digs” with earthworms.
We are heading towards climate catastrophe at an accelerated rate and tilling is one of the reasons the planet is warming so fast.
