Land in the Anthropocene
This series of works reflects on the anthropocentric land degradation, toxic pollution, human-induced desertification and habitat loss. Due to the record of man-made waste (e.g., plastics, concrete, and radioactive isotopes) and irreversible damage to the atmosphere, humanity has recently transitioned to a new geological epoch marked by catastrophic environmental change - the Anthropocene.
Indulging in the false sense of supremacy, humanity has detonated the mechanism of biological annihilation. Climate refugees, water scarcity, food insecurity… threats so distant and yet so close.
